The classic mistake: Too little lubrication, too much pressure

Provide enough lubrication, change towel sides early and let the product do the work. For better control and less interior mist, spray into the towel whenever possible.

Why “one stop” sprays do not deliver what they promise
There are always sprays claiming to clean, remove scratches and seal in one single step. It sounds ideal, but in practice it is contradictory.
Cleaning means removing something.
A cleaner dissolves dirt, oils and residue from the surface. That is its purpose. Once it effectively removes contamination, these substances are captured in the product film and towel.
Sealing means applying something that should remain.
Protection layers are typically based on waxes, polymers or related substances designed to bond to the paint. Removing and permanently building up protection in one single wipe is technically difficult. What is removed during cleaning cannot simultaneously form a stable, long lasting protective layer. The result is often a short lived show effect.
And “scratch removal”?
Quick sprays do not remove scratches. Some products may temporarily mask fine defects using silicones or fillers. It may look better at first, but after rain or a few washes, the effect often disappears. Sometimes it can even look worse due to streaking or hazing.
If you want true defect correction, proper polishing is required. Quick detailing is not designed for that and does not need to be.
